Causes of seizures: Stimulants, brain lesions / trauma, withdrawal from chloride channel drugs (benzodiazepines and barbiturates), electrolyte abnormalities and genetic predisposition top the list of things that can cause seizures. Some medications make seizures more likely (lowering of the seizure threshold) The list is extensive. Discuss the matter with a neurologist. Did you get an EEG or an ECG ?

Epilepsy: To diagnose this condition, you need an EEG or the brain wave test. There are other medical causes of seizures like drugs, for which a complete medical history and examination would be needed. Good luck!
