Pain?: Oab is frequency, urgency and sometime urge incontinence. Ic usually adds pelvic pain, supra pubic pain and pain with sex (dysparuenia). There are occasional physical findings with ic also (on cysto).

Oab vs IC: Overactive bladder symptoms are urgency as the bladder fills. The individual will have symptoms of urgency which are relieved by emptying the bladder. Individuals with ic will have urgency & frequency with pain. They often continue to have sympyoms after emptying the bladder. The cause of ic is unknown.
