Ibuprofen: Since you are using ibuprofen already you must already find relief from it and it can be taken up to 800 mg at a time with food and up to 4 times daily. Please consult your primary health care provider if you find relief at this dose and will be on it for more than a week. Icing is not likely to be helpful for pyriformis syndrome. Please consider seeing physical therapy for this as well.
