I'm having a red, itchy rash break out all over my body. i believe it is a side effect of the omnicef (cefdinir) i was prescribed. what should i do?

Time.: It may take a week before your rash would go away after stopping the drug. Try antihistamine up to 4 times daily to see if it controls the itching. If not, a short course of cortisone may be needed when the itching gets intolerable. Topical anti-itch lotion may also be helpful
