Confusing yes: If that was a home pregnancy test one of three things are possible. First the test was false pos (least likely). Second, you have been pregnant since the prior cycle and third, your thought about conception time is wrong. Even with a twin pregnancy, the first time a test could be positive would be 11-13 days after conception. The bleeding is often confusing but likely not a regular period.
