A member asked:

I've been taking hca for 2 months. it works, but i'm having heavy, prolonged periods. i'm on the yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) too. can hca cause this? (garcinia cambogia) :(

I have not seen HCA causing menstrual problems.: Unfortunately have also not seen much benefit of the medication when compared to placebo studies. It sounds much more likely that you're having problems with your menstrual cycle from the Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol). Have you actually read the package insert?

No but: the combination of both the Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) and the HCA might contribute to the excessive bleeding ,check with your doctor if it persists.
