Where exactly: does she feel the pain/ The ovary by itself does not generally have pain receptors (exception "mittlescmerz" or pain with ovulation) More details please!!!!

Examination: Her symptoms may be from an infection to ovarian cyst or other gynecological entity. Might also be a urinary track infection or just from the fact that she has been abstinent for a while. Should not make the assumption that it is the ovary. If her symptoms persist, she should be seen by her doctor or gynecologist.

GYN exam: a pelvic exam and ultrasound should rule out any infection or illness.This may just be ovulatory pain or a sign of ovarian disease and should be evaluated.
