Possibly: Ligation of testicular artery is usually not a problem with laparoscopic or high retroperoneal techniques. However microsurgical varicocelectomy is pergrformed much lower and collateral blood supply might be a problem. You would likely see some testicular atrophy(shrinkage) if blood supply to testis is compromised. Also, surgeon used loope or miroscope to optimally visualize vessels during surgery
