A member asked:

Every time i lay down and flex my butt upwards my tail bone pops and sometimes it relieves pain and then it wont do it again for while. what is it?

Joint adjustment : Much like cracking your knuckles, adjusting your spine can cause an audible 'pop' that releases air and pressure in the joint spaces and is perfectly safe. It can be done by certain manipulation of the spine by chiropractors and lay people( I've done it for others !), and if it relieves pain, just make sure with your ortho doctor your technique is right, don't want to hurt yourself...
