Withdrawal symptoms: Suddenly stopping SSRI/SNRI type anti- depressants often causes severe withdrawal symptoms in a certain segment of the population. Restarting the medication at the previous dose will resolve the issue. Discuss with your physician how to tapper the dose. If you have difficulty switching to a long acting anti-depressant will make tapering much easier> Prozac (fluoxetine).
