Nice start: With the few test that you had done it would be difficult to pinpoint a diagnosis. The results just indicate not an acute inflammatory reaction. Chronic ear infection, sinus infection, allergies, etc. are just beginning of possibilities. Recommend you go back to your physician for a more thorough evaluation or ask for referral to EENT doc. But start with your primary care physician

Lymphadenitis..: Can be because of scalp infection, Lymphoma, Gland TB....need related WU, possible Biopsy.

Better evaluation: It is time for you to see a hematologist for a better evaluation. If a cause of the enlarged lymph nodes is not readily apparent and there is no local infection, you may need to have a lymph node biopsy for examination by a pathologist.

My mom (72) just had blood work done by an ent to look at reasons for hearing loss. All blood work, including CRP, was normal except ESR was 54. She had fluid in her ear a few weeks. Feels healthy. Could this ESR a sign of something bad like cancer?
