I may be confused: but everything you say sounds pretty normal, except: you say you've had 5 periods in 9 months? That's a much bigger problem than the bleeding/spotting. If I misunderstood what you said ignore this, if I understand right I'd say call a doctor soon, theres' no reason to put off getting help. Good wishes.
