Petechiae: Heavy vomiting can increase the pressure in the tiny capillaries in the face. They can rupture and cause "petechiae" (red dots). You might have a "24 hour stomach bug" but, if your symptoms have lasted more than 24 hours, you need to seek medical care because it could be something more serious. Meanwhile, rest, drink small sips of fluids frequently & use a heating pad for your stomach ache.
