Plan B: This is not a normal period. Plan B induces bleeding. The pain is worrisome though. Any pain that awakens you from sleep or keeps you awake is serious. You need to see your doctor for a full history and exam ASAP.

Since I turned 44 I have sleep anxiety that wakes me up multiple times. I feel worse on an estrogen birth control pill, better on a progesterone only pill. But because I have a large fibroid, I have heavy bleeding on the progesterone only pill.
