Avoid close contact: Tuberculosis (TB) is transmitted by respiratory droplets (small drops of water breathed out from someone infected with TB esp coughing). It is more easily caught when living in cramped quarters with someone infected, and if unhealthy/have poor nutrition. Good nutrition/exercise, no smoking/alcohol, avoiding infected people or, if unavoidable, then wearing an N95 mask around them, all help.
