Practice grasping: By the time the baby is 4 months old he has developed depth perception and he now loves to practice reaching and grasping objects, give him toys that are easy to grasp and make noise like rattles. He is also discovering mobility via rolling. Place toys in different areas so he can try to get to them. Help him pull to sit and stand. He is discovering various sounds, sing and read to him.

Make the baby laugh: Three to six month old babies like to play. Activities that make a baby smile are good to continue, such as holding/cuddling the baby, gently teasing the baby with a stuffed toy, singing a song to the baby, talking to the baby, a brief baby massage, playing peek-a-boo, etc.
