Stopping Cymbalta (duloxetine): Cymbalta (duloxetine) is not used to "wake someone up." Its a good antidepressant and reduces joint pain as a side effect. Perhaps the Cymbalta (duloxetine) was making you feel better and stopping it abruptly led to a withdrawal type effect. The benefits of cymbala come on slowly over weeks so its hard for some people to appreciate them until you look back. Often restarting the drug will tell you if its helpful or not
