How do you know?: Go see your doctor for diagnosis & treatment. Common options in the States include calcium carbonate (for heartburn), H2 blockers & PPI (proton pump inhibitors). If someone has an ulcer confirmed by endoscopy, we can check for H pylori infection at same time. Treatment of this infection will cure/prevent future ulcers. Bottom line, go see your family doctor.
