Brain pathways: The chemical pathways in the brain are awesome.We are just beginning to find how some work.If you have better quality of life with less bipolar symptoms i'd say let's move forward.Thanks for getting treated.Bipolar illness is a tough problem.

Bipolar meds.: Some epilepsy medications work as mood stabilizers through influence on GABA receptors in brain, which has calming effect, also effect on electrolyte channel system, and possibly other unclear mechanisms.

Bipolar treatment : Anti-epileptic medications with the ability to manage the sudden rapid electric activity in brain areas of motor cortex(controlling motor activity of muscles)similar mechanism applies in the amygdala hippocampus (the emotional areas of brain) regulate the certain rapid mood changes.Some mechanism of action of certain meds are not clearly understood but i can assure you these meds work miracles.

Unstable brains?: Bob post, a psychiatrist at the national institute for mental health noted certain similarities between seizures and bipolar. For example, he noted that, just as with seizures, the more episodes you had had the sooner you were likely to have another (in seizures this is called kindling) and this led ultimately to extensive research on they: mood stabilizing potential of many anti-seizure meds.
