Jaw surgery screws: We all put our teeth together when we swallow. It is unlikely that this will cause screws to loosen. HOWEVER, forceful conscious and subconscious clenching, especially to try to "force" teeth into the "new" bite (or splint) may sometimes do damage to stability of screws. You need to talk to your surgeon about some muscle relaxants, or even having jaws wired for a short time. Do so soon.

Possible: The teeth naturally come together when swallowing. Should not be a problem unless you are forcefully clenching. If so, could be a problem with screws. Talk to oral surgeon ASAP.
