Pregnant?: First of all, if you are sexually active, make sure that you are not pregnant. Pregnancy is the most common cause for missed periods. However, there are many other causes. If you have not had a period in 5 months and are not pregnant, then I suggest that you see a doctor as soon as possible. It could be a problem with your thyroid, stress, or other abnormality. Best to get it checked out.
