Usually not: Atenolol, a beta blocker, usually does not cause PVCs - premature ventricular contractions. In fact this medicine is often used to treat this condition. However, any medicine can have side effects, so if you feel this medicine is causing problems I suggest you contact the doctor who prescribed it.
