Does glute bridging help stretch hip flexors?

Strengthen: The hip flexors pull the upper leg up at the hip, allows us to lift our knees and bend at the waist. There are five muscles that connect the femur to the pelvis. Stretching and strengthening the hip flexors is important to avoid injury and increase performance.

CAN DO BOTH.: bridging actively promotes strength, if the flexors are weak, an assisted bridge will stretch them.

Not really: Best exercises to stretch hip flexors (Iliopsoas, sartorius, rectus femoris and tensor fascia lata) are lunges, either standing or bent over; iliotibial stretches or sled kneeling. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
