A member asked:

If doctor needs second opinion on ultrasound, can he charge for his?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: In my practice, i often provide "second opinions" informally and for this there is no additional charge to the patient. However, there are times when i provide a second opinion which does result in a charge. A second opinion is well worth the cost if there is a discrepancy or complicated medical situation.
