Strep presents in milder forms as we get older often, and any new throat pain is worth checking to be sure that you don't have it. Strep has to be treated to prevent complications, like rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease. Also, other possible causes of your sore throat can be evaluated at the same time.

MAy be: GArgle with salt and warm water. Drink Ginger Tea. If your symptoms do not improve or continues, fever, cough all point towards infection. If you still have your Tonsils, you will benefit from Proper examination with your doctor.
