How do i treat inflamed sternomanubrial joint? prednisone is not working.

Why?: Why is it inflamed? Trauma? Usually time and antiinflammatories will help heal it. Prednisone is also anti-inflammatory. Give it more time but would like to know why it is inflamed.

DMSO: Try DMSO (dimethylsulfoxide). DMSO (aka horse liniment) is a powerful anti-inflammatory pain reliever. It's available in health food stores and feed stores (agriculture and veterinary supplies). It's usually available as a 99% liquid, and a lower strength gel and roll-on. The liquid works well, but may be drying or irritating to some people with sensitive skin. Just apply it daily.
