Not in excess: yes you can eat fruits and vegetable but in moderation when you have diarrhea. you need to avoid fruit juices and lactose containing products while having loose stools. food that binds the stools should be eaten more: white rice, white noodles, white meat baked or broiled. do not eat the skin of the fruits or vegetables and do not exceed these.

For diarrhea,it is: better to rest the gut.When hungry,eat simple carbs like potatoes,rice,toast,crackers.Its much more important to focus on rehydrating with fluids like Gatoraid or pedialyte.
