Synthroid (thyroxine): How was your hyperthyroidism treated? Synthroid (thyroxine) is prescribed when your thyroid hormone level is low. Did you have radiation therapy or thyroid surgery? How much synthroid (thyroxine) are you taking now. Perhaps you could break your pill in half and take that once a day. If that works - fine! If not another examination of your thyroid might be the next move.
