I took 5mg valium last night at 9pm, now it's 9 pm next day and i want to drink a can of beer and shot of whiskey, is it safe ?

Yes and no: One's use of alcohol can create problems that prompted the use of diazepam. So perhaps better not to drink alcohol? Talk with your physician. In terms of adverse effects from mixing the two after 24 hours, I think one is safe unless one has a major liver problem.
