Velvet bean: Don't get your hopes up. This bean contains some precursors of neurotransmitters but I wouldn't count on it for medication for "the blues" or "the blahs". Truth be told, Art, the difficult business of finding happiness in life has less to do with manipulating real or putative "low dopamine" than in dealing wisely and aggressively with life's challenges and sharing love with others.
