A member asked:

Does bleeding from hemorrhoids come in go ? colonscopy in 2013 confirmed hemorrhoids now bleeding again more this week, cbc normal in june.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes bleeding recurs: Hemorrhoids are engorged distorted veins that don't go away. They are also thin walled and bleed from slight trauma. They also cause pain and bleed if there is inflammation or irritation. All of which means that on occasions you are likely to see bleeding. With a colonoscopy done a year ago you don't have to worry about another cause for the next 4 years. CBC is usually stable with this bleeding
