Ask your doctor: for referral to GI specialist. You might need to have endoscopy to evaluate your GERD condition. There are many different causes of pain in shoulder, arm, and neck.

Another opinion: ? "neck, shoulder, arm pain" in 20 yo male; cardiac work-up normal, & given diagnosis of "GERD". Failed dyspeptic meds. Symptom profile does not fit upper gastrointestinal disorder. Cardiac disease would be quite unusual in a 20 yo. An Osteopath exam is necessary to evaluate for cervical disorder, brachial plexus impingement, & Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.
