Diet vs Test: 1st document your symptoms as well as frequency. Then try an elimination diet by avoiding any hint of dairy in your diet for several days to weeks. If no improvement, see if any worsening after adding back dairy. Repeat w/gluten. OR go see your family doc & ask for lab testing. Either way, the solution is still avoiding said dietary irritant/allergen. It's just a matter of how much evidence u need
