More info needed: People can have herpes with negative swab test for the virus, especially if lesions are starting to heal. You don't given enough information fto judge how likely herpes might be: nature of the lesions (blisters? open sores?), exactly where, other symptoms (inflamed lymph nodes, fever, headache, etc), if same symptoms occurred previously, etc. Discuss with your partner and/or her doctor.
