That is a problem: You will be reinfected when you have sex with your boyfriend,if he is not also treated.

He needs RX!: Your partner should be treated at the same time to prevent reinfection and further spread of the disease. Avoid sex until your boyfriend completes the treatment or you will get the trichomoniasis again. Some doctors follow PDPT patient delivered partner treatment strategy. The doc gives your bf medication. Contact their office. He may need to come in for an evaluation for other STDS!
