Needs evaluation..: If you have not seen anyone yet for this problem it is strongly recommended that you do. Possible problems associated are: narrow esophagus, esophagus mass or mobility problems, severe acid reflux and inflammation, enlarged thyroid, neck or throat masses in general. My advice is to make an appointment with your doctor for exam and tests as necessary.

You need to be seen: Need much more info (for starters your age, smoking/alcohol history, other symptoms and/or conditions) to suggest possible causes but progressive dysphagia, i.e. difficulty swallowing for whatever reason needs to be evaluated sooner rather than later. It'd be best to see a generalist first in order to determine in which area the problem lies, throat/tonsils, esophagus, thyroid, lymph nodes, etc.
