My grandpa had two leg aneurysms at age 75. is this common at this age or connective tissue problem? i have eds3 and trying to figure out origin

At your grandpa's: age the most common cause of his aneurysms is arteriosclerosis and is not a "connective tissue" problem which could have any effect on your health HOWEVER...PROBLEMS with CHOLSTEROL may be FAMILIAL..Check with your Primary Care Provider (PCP)! Hope this helps Dr Z

Age and vascular: Vascular EDS (EDS IV) is potentially life-threatening, and differs from the classic and hypermobility EDS III. Arterial rupture may involve the iliac (pelvis, not legs), splenic, or renal arteries; or the aorta. Median life span is 48 years old. It is unlikely that your grandpa's leg aneurysms were due to EDS.
