Acne Scars: Unfortunately, acne scars often leave their mark permanently but they can fade over time and the discoloration related to inflammation improves. Derm-abrasion is a cosmetic procedure that can remove the very superficial layers of skin to provide some improvement, but this procedure is not a cure and can be costly. Laser therapy and infrared treatments aren't much better and are quite costly.
