This is consistent: with mucous, a glycoprotein secretion by body cells which organizes water weeping from mucous membrane tissues. The yellow color is typically from white blood cells which are activated, producing toxic yellowish enzymes internally which they use to kill some ingested bacteria. When WBCs are ingesting/killing other types of bacteria, they typically produce enzymes with a green color.

Check for STD: yellowish discharge may reflect number of vaginal conditions and infections. Occasionally it may be only symptom. Get checked for STD by your GYN or PMD.
