Vaginal discharge: This change in discharge consistency and color is abnormal and can be due to an infection especially if sexually active. You will need to visit your ob/gyn for pelvic exam for diagnosis of pathogen and appropriate treatment. These type of infections are curable.

Vaginal Discharge: Vaginal discharge occurs normally in women. Color and consistency can be affected by many factors such as menstruation, birth control pills, sexual arousal, nutrition, infections and more. The good bacteria there keep the pH acidic, and protect against infection. The best way to determine if this is a harmless change is to see your doctor who will examine you, check pH, bacteria and more.
