"Andropause": Serum total and, to a greater extent, free testosterone concentrations decline as men age. However, the decline in most men is modest and clinical consequences have not been as well delineated as they have been for the female menopause. Low testosterone may impact energy level, sexual function, muscle mass and function, red blood cell production, and bone remodeling.
