Yes: Deodorants can show up as scattered calcifications.That is the reason u are advised not to use it on the day of the mammograms or to wipe it off.There is no problem with getting a second opinion if u are worried but if it is different which opinion are u going to trust? It is also safe to do another mammogram but insurance won't pay for it and again who are u going to trust. Biopsies are low risk.

You can always: get a second opinion if you are uncomfortable. But first, try discussing your concerns with your doctor or the radiologist. A second opinion may not be necessary. Deodorant could possibly look like calcifications, but it is not often confused with pathologic-looking breast calcifications. If the radiologist is not sure, they can repeat the mammo after washing the area. Needle bx risks minimal
