Painful contraction: Would go now, if it is not time they will send you home, but birth is a big deal and best done in the hospital so go now.Do not be concerned .

Go now : If the pain is so and it needs to looked at. At your age I would be concerned about your appendix. I would recommend that you go to the ER

Yes - go to the ER.: If your contractions are painful [especially if they are coming every 5-10 minutes] please see a physician ASAP - you may be going into labor or experiencing some pregnancy complication (e.g. abruption). Best of luck!

5 min apart > 1 min: First babies can come a bit slower, but when the contractions are strong, come 5 min apart, last a minute or more and have continued nearly an hour - go.
