Yes - go to the ER.: If your contractions are painful [especially if they are coming every 5-10 minutes] please see a physician ASAP - you may be going into labor or experiencing some pregnancy complication (e.g. abruption). Best of luck!

5 min apart > 1 min: First babies can come a bit slower, but when the contractions are strong, come 5 min apart, last a minute or more and have continued nearly an hour - go.
