Germs yes: Always use a condom if you engage in anal sex. Anus was not meant to be penetrated by a penis and often gets injured due to anal sex.

Yes: There is no way to make the rectum sterile. Use condoms if you are having anal intercourse and be sure you have had your HPV vaccine. Hope this helps.

Depends: Driving a car is dangerous, but it can be done safely if you go slow. Driving recklessly is dangerous. Anatomically, the rectum has a much thinner mucous membrane than the vagina, so it is at risk for fissures, tears which can lead to infections. The lining of the rectum does not heal as quickly as the vagina either and there are more bacteria in the rectum no matter what you do, so more risks.
