Urine Culture confir: I would use cipro (ciprofloxacin) only if the culture indicated it should be used. I usually save Cipro (ciprofloxacin) for more serious infection. Taking that and naproxen together can be a problem. The combination can increase CNS stimulation and perhaps seizures. Your physician needs to evaluate you to see if this combination is indicated comparing it's risk versus benefits.

Not unless Doc says: Never take an antibiotic without a doctor's OK. You may have other conditions or problems that make it the wrong choice. Get checked or call your doctor.

Here are some ...: Both drugs can be used together and their use is considered empirical Rx and reasonable if your past experience has said so. If not and being the new concern for possible UTI, it would be better to document UTI with detailed Hx, urinalysis with/ without urine culture, etc. Meanwhile, make sure that the goal of care is clear and when to draw a line; otherwise, misuse and abuse of drugs may occur...
