Adverse effect: This may be due to a rare side effect. In my experience Celexa (citalopram) is better tolerated.

Not really: Lexapro (escitalopram) should not cause these symptoms normally, so see your Dr. for an evaluation. best wishes.

Stop Lexapro (escitalopram): Stop taking the Lexapro (escitalopram) for 5 days to see if the pain goes away. If it does restart it to see if the pain returns. If it does contact your Dr to be examined & possibly change your medication.
