Cyst: it could be a cyst or a keloid, unlikely to be a lymph node. Your doctor is the best judge, rely on his advice.

There are deep : cervical lymph nodes on that area close to where you' felt. As long as they are soft and mobile, there's nothing to be worried about. It's when they're enlarged, or hard that there is need for concern. Also near that area, behind the ear lobe are the occipital lymph nodes located at the base of the scull, right by the nape of the neck. Same rule applies.
