My left tonsil is swollen..not paining much. i am a regular smoker smoking 4-6 cigaretted a day.no white patches and no redness.should i be worried?

A swollen tonsil: a unilateral swollen tonsil may be indicative of a unilateral infection. if it remains swollen for at least 2 to 3 weeks more I would see your primary care physician to establish a cause. Smoking could certainly be the cause however I would expect bilateral swelling if smoking were the cause.
