Get it checked: Asymmetrical tonsils can occur without incident but i think you need to have someone evaluate it. From an infectious standpoint, you may have the beginning of a peritonsillar abscess. Your left ear may feel blocked if there is generalized swelling from the left tonsil.

See your doctor: This sounds like an upper respiratory infection. They are often accompanies by swelling of the tonsils, ear infections, sinus drainage, etc. Over the counter medications can help with relief from the congestion and drainage but you may need an antibiotic.
