How long does it take for swollen glands to get better with antibiotics?

Depends: That can vary but usually you will notice by week a difference if it is the right antibiotic and presuming the glands are reacting to a bacterial, not viral or other cause.

Weeks: It can take weeks for a swollen lymph node to its prior size after an infection. The swelling is from a reaction in the node in response to infection.

Better in few days: Swollen glands caused by infection start getting better after about 3 days on antibiotic as long as the right medication was chosen. Complete resolution may take weeks to months sometimes. Follow up with your doctor for a re-check if need be. Remember that some swollen glands are not from infections.
